Senior Project: Amber Exchange

The Vision

The plan is to start as an online company that sells clothing, and everyday accessories including phone cases, pop sockets, posters, purses, glasses, and shoes. Within 2-5 years we will have our first brick and mortar store in Orlando Florida.

The Values

A company that values their relationship with the customers by being dependable, efficient, and genuine.

At Amber Exchange, we have a mission to make fashion elegant, easy, and accessible for everyone. We believe that exchanging fashion should be something that can be done from the comfort of your own home. We are committed to making our exchange process as easy and convenient as possible for our customers.

Project Statement & Image

My senior project, “Amber Exchange”, is an online clothing store that not only sells decor and accessories, but clothing as well. It is composed of phone cases, pop sockets, clothing items, and posters. Illustrator was used to create the designs for the phone cases, and pop sockets. Photoshop was then used to edit the designs onto mock phone cases, create the posters layout and graphics for the website. The website for Amber Exchange was created through Wix. For ideas, I searched for popular trends amongst teenagers and young adults since that’s the market I’m targeting. This research included color schemes, font types, trending tv shows, famous quotes, and fashion trends.

“Amber Exchange” is a fictional company designed to improve the online buying and customization process. The edge that Amber Exchange would have in the saturated online shopping market is its large market size and the positive reputation it would build from quality and relationships. For the overall design, I focused on having different selections for phone cases and divided them by animals, food, and celebrities. That way all viewers and buyers had something to relate to, and this concept continued in my pop sockets designs as I made the same graphics as the phone cases which allows them to be paired as a set. For posters I wanted to focus on the college student and what they might want on their wall, and I settled with three different aesthetic that you would typically see on Pinterest. Lastly, I wanted the clothing to have a comfortable yet stylish feel which is why I settled on a dress and shirt design.

On the front cover I have my most liked case design to capture your attention and convince you to check the brand out and possibly buy product. This is accomplished by combining my color pallet with the design in a format that matches the home page on amberexchange. shop. I chose to follow this formatting to provide a since of the style of the brand along with a taste of what’s on the site. The overall goal was to catch viewers’ attention with a simplistic design.
